Stage 2 – Prospect

  • The object of the Prospect stage is to introduce yourself, tell what you are calling about, and find the right person to talk to. When you are talking to the right person you ask permission to pitch.

If you don’t have the right person, you ask for a phone number and name and call that person up instead. If this is not possible you ask for that person’s NAME, E-MAIL, and the REFERER (IE the person you are talking to right now) NAME.

Here is the basic PROSPECT part of the script:

Denton Roofers, how may I help you?

-Hi this is Henrik from TCR. I searched for Roofers in Denton and found you deep down because you have no website, would you be the right person to speak to about this?

generally, we have two routes here: Yes (meaning we are talking to the owner) and No (its not the owner).

If Yes you can consider this permission to Pitch and start doing so.

If No you ask for the name and number of the right person. You also ask for the name of the person you are speaking with. Note these three pieces of information in your Trello board. Call up the right person and start again, but this time you can use the name of the referrer and start Pitching right away!


IF THE PHONE IS NOT PICKED UP:

Send SMS 1 saying:

Is this BUSINESSNAME?

example: Is this Denton Roofers?

Then wait for confirmation and take next lead. If confirmed go to Pitch. If not confirmed in 24 hours, skip lead!
